Student Composition

At Friends School, we provide

  • A well-rounded education that focuses not only on the academic development of students but also on social / emotional skills, conflict resolution, and social justice. Every person has something valuable to contribute to our community and a key message throughout the school is that every single person (no matter how small!) has the power to positively impact the world.
  • Truly individualized education. At Friends, students work and progress at their own level. Students may work below their grade level, at grade level and above grade level all in one day! Children do not progress or achieve the same in all academic areas and at Friends, we recognize and address individual strengths and areas in which to grow.
  • A community for families to call home! Friends’ family cooperative atmosphere encourages the development of relationships among students, families, faculty and administration. Frequent events are held such as Family Nights, Parent Education Nights, picnics, Dining Out with Friends, Festivals and performances. We recognize that parent life centers around children and that the most meaningful connections are made with parents experiencing similar circumstances. A progressive school, we welcome ALL families at Friends, including folks from the LGBTQ community, all different colors, religions, and backgrounds.
